Coverages to consider.
A restaurant BOP will always include Property and Liability insurance. However, it’s also important to consider Data Compromise in case customers’ personal information is stolen in a security breach, and Employment Practices Liability Insurance policy (EPLI). EPLIs can cover the owner for wrongful termination, discrimination, or harassment. Finally, a third party liability rider can also be added to include claims caused by the restaurant customer.
Serving liquor?
If liquor is served, a Liquor Liability policy is a state requirement. This policy covers employees, patrons, and anyone who spent time in your restaurant or bar if injuries or property damage ensues as a result of alcohol.
